We have identified the fundamental mental skills that every athlete, regardless of sporting code, should implement into their daily training and performance. These skills have been identified as critical in enhancing the mindset of the athlete, leading to a process-focused, optimal state of performance.
Our training assists the athletes in gaining the necessary tools to increase their performance through entering a a state of flow more consistently.
This program focuses on developing the emotional intelligence of athletes, creating awareness and self-control and cultivating the optimal practice, performance and trusting mindsets.
Interactive and personal
This program is currently priced at R3000 and is available to any athlete, from any sporting code and any age group. Our program is tailored to fit the need of the individual athlete, while allowing the opportunity for athletes to interact, build relationships and share knowledge.
The program consists of 8 contact sessions via an online video platform, as well as consistent practical reinforcements throughout the program which athletes are required to practice at home. Athletes are walked through the mental skills in a group and on an individual level, and will be able to practice each technique with the guidance of the performance coach.
Critical discussions are also held through the program to assist the athletes in developing good thinking skills and self-awareness. The fundamental principles of this course are to develop the emotional intelligence of the athlete, in order to ensure that program participants are not only good athletes, but good people in society as well. Equip strives to help athletes become confident, open-minded and mentally strong both on and off the sports field.
This program has been developed by experienced professionals in the field of Sport Psychology around the world. All content is cutting edge from the latest in the world of sport psycholgy. Nic Venter has a Masters degree in Psychology as well as an honours degree in sport science and psychology. He has worked with many professional athletes and teams, including WP Cricket, Gauteng Cricket, Paralympic athletes, Professional Golfers, Proteas Cricketers and Champion motocross riders. Nic specializes in Performance Anxiety and the development of Emotional Intelligence (EQ) .
